HiTestWare, pronounced high-test-ware, short for Hardware-independent Test Software, is a Limited Liability Corporation founded in 2010 by Ernst Wahl:
- Formerly a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories, its descendants Lucent Bell Laboratories, and Agere Systems, 1979 - 2004.
- 23 years over-all IC test experience, including 2 years providing Teradyne and Megatest hardware and software support, 2 years testing micro-processors on Advantest, and 19 years automatic test program generation targeting Advantest, Credence, Verigy, and Teradyne ATE.
- 28 years object oriented design and C++ programming experience in Unix/Linux and Windows environments, designing and implementing IC test program generators, and coordinating and supporting activities of contributing developers.
- Active participant in the IEEE 1450 Standard Test Interface Language (STIL) working group since 1995, contributing marginally to the original 1450.0-1999 (vectors and timing), and significantly to extensions 1450.2-2002 (levels), and 1450.4-2017 (test flow) as vice-chair.
